While awaiting bar exam results the summer after graduating law school, the tragedy of September 11th occurred. During this time, Garrett was counsel in over 50 courts-martial, including 25 fully litigated jury trials. He often led large litigation teams of multiple attorneys, paralegals and experts. The Air Force utilized Garrett in several other practice areas, including extensive civil litigation. At his final active duty assignment, he was stationed in the Pentagon where he advised senior Air Force officials on a wide variety of issues and prepared reports of investigation that the Air Force delivered to the President of the United States. Garrett was consistently ranked highest among peers on officer performance reports. He remains in the Air Force Reserves and is now a Lieutenant Colonel.

As a military defense counsel, Garrett served the needs of all clients in need of help, from E-1 to O-7, with many notable cases.  He often led large litigation teams of multiple attorneys, paralegals and experts.  The Air Force utilized Garrett in several other practice areas, including extensive civil litigation, military administrative actions, medical malpractice defense, medical law, administrative law, labor and employment law, and ethics.

After leaving active duty, Garrett and his family settled near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He spent a semester at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar. While at LSU, he was recruited and hired as the Managing Attorney for Louisiana Foreclosure at a multi-state law firm. He represented a multitude of clients, from the massive national and international banking giants to local and regional small businesses.

In 2015, Garrett Condon established Condon, Wood & Burkhart with his law partners Ray Wood and Diane Burkhart, and there he has served as President since the firm’s inception. In that capacity, Garrett acts as the as the chief executive officer of the firm overseeing all aspects of the firm, as well as the senior attorney supervising all staff and personally working on all complex cases.
